Our residents have the privacy of their own bed-sitting rooms, which they furnish themselves. They enjoy two home- cooked meals per day in the dining room, and have facilities in their own rooms to allow them to cater for other simple food or drink requirements, including their breakfasts, the only meal of the day for which they have personal catering responsibility.
Residents have a shared sitting room and their rooms are equipped with en suite toilet and basin at Epsom, whilst the Sutton and Cheam houses also have en- suite bath or shower . Rooms at first floor level may be accessed by lift. All three houses have well maintained and attractive gardens with shade and seating for use in warm weather .
Access to local town centres and Central London ?
Bus services are within easy walking distance of the front door, which give residents access to town centres and mainline stations with a fast service to and from central London .
Our charges?
Our charges are inclusive of all of the above services and facilities , except for the provision and use of a telephone. The level of charges varies between rooms based on their size, aspect and location within the house.
Our 2007 charges range between £28 and £35 per day, which the Society believes to be outstanding value given the quality and level of service on offer (This equates to a weekly charge of between £198 and £243). Upon application you will be given the precise charges for the rooms available at the time. You are encouraged to visit our houses and meet our residents if you wish to verify the value of our offer for yourself.
Affordabiliity?
All houses are eligible for Housing Benefit and Supporting People grants from the London Borough of Sutton. We do not inquire about people's means when they apply, or offer any financial advice, but are happy to suggest where they may be able to obtain such advice and assistance with complete confidentiality.
Eligibility of prospective residents?
Residents have to be reasonably fit and able to cater for their own personal needs and hygiene, to keep their own rooms clean and in good order and to do their own washing in the facilities provided.
In considering applications for residence, the Society places great importance on ensuring that the newly accepted residents will be joining a household in which they will feel at ease and at home .

We have rooms that we make available for older people who are interested in staying with us for a short period of time on a basis similar to that enjoyed by our longer-term residents. These stays can be as short as 2 weeks or for a period of several months.
What's included?
All of the items listed for long-term residents are included in our service offering for 'Holiday Break' residents.
Our charges?
Our charges for such stays are slightly higher than those for our long-term residents, but they still represent outstanding value when compared to the alternative of bed and breakfast or hotel accommodation charges.
Benefits for prospective residents?
Our Holiday Break offering is attractive to older people in the following circumstances:
Where their normal family and friends support is unavailable due to their absence on holiday, business or because of illness
Where their current housing facilities are disrupted due to refurbishment or re-decoration activities
When they want to 'test the water' with very sheltered accommodation , as something that they might wish to take up at some future date
When they want a holiday in the company of others of similar ages and outlook
